My name is Kola, I met a girl that I loved in June 2015
but realized later that she was cheating on me so I ended
the relationship.
I met someone else later in the year and we started
dating, I had no idea my ex and current girlfriends are
friends.
A month after we began dating, my ex discovered I was
in a relationship with her friend, she came to me one
night to confirm what she heard and I did explaining to
her that I had no Idea she is close to my current
girlfriend.
My ex told me she had nothing against my current
girlfriend and besides we aren't dating anymore. Fast
forward to some weeks later, I began hearing bad things
about my new girlfriend; people have been rumors that
she snatched me from her close friend.
I found out that it was gossip spread by my ex to tarnish
my girlfriend's image. Please what is my ex trying to do?

Rumors are hard to reverse especially when it looks from
outside like the subject of the rumor is guilty. Sometimes
you have to set the record straight when you realize some
rumors aren’t harmless. Your silence can’t solve
everything especially when it comes to setting making
things right.
How did you end the relationship with your ex? Did you tell
her the reason you left or you just stopped communicating
altogether? She may have been hurt by your actions and
may be looking for the best way to get back at you.
Since you said your ex and her current girlfriend are close
friends, how come she didn’t know you are her friend’s ex-
boyfriend?
I’ll advise you call your ex to make peace with her. Even if
you aren’t guilty of the accusations she’s throwing at you,
just tell her you are sorry. It doesn’t only give you peace
of mind but makes you a better man.
Try your best for the sake of peace to reconcile your ex
and current girlfriend together, it’s obvious there’s bad
blood between both of them. If your ex refuses to listen
and accept reconciliation and apology then you have to do
what it takes to protect your relationship from her.
