MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES
Simon Brotherton: "Manchester City travel to the south
coast with the second leg of their Champions League
semi-final against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu looming
large on the horizon.
"It's likely to lead to a few changes to their line up, but a
top-four finish isn't guaranteed yet and they can expect to
face a tough afternoon against an in-form Southampton
side with plenty to play for.
"Saints have won four of the last six games and are only a
couple of points behind West Ham in the race for sixth and
the probable Europa League spot that will come with it."
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Southampton manager Ronald Koeman on whether he will
manage the club next season: "Yes, of course. I don't like
to talk about individual clubs because I think everybody
has ambition, and I have that also, but I signed a three-
year contract with Southampton.
"The club makes a five-year plan and of course I'm
interested in how we see the plan and discuss about that
plan and agree or not. It was good to see they still have
ambition to grow and to make the next step."
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini: "The best
way to make a good game on Wednesday (against Real
Madrid) is to win on Sunday and have trust in the
performance of different players.
"Our mind is the same, to continue trying to win all our
games and have a spot in the Champions League for next
year, and be as near the top of the table as we can."
